Did someone say Halloween was canceled this year? Oh no ma’am we moms always come up with a way to turn a bad situation into a good ol’ time! It’s safe to say that my best friend and I T H R I V E during this season her more so than me because she is the definition of a spooky mom. Literally look up “spooky mom” and Cin’s name will pop up lol. Anyways we take it serious, to say the least.
I feel like a lot has changed and we wanted the kids to feel a little “normal” so we decided to throw them a little Spooky Halloween House Party! And costumes were required! We created a board on Pinterest and pinned everything that spoke to our spooky soul.
And this is how it went…
We didn’t want them to just sit down eat and get candy, we wanted them to really enjoy themselves so we looked for easy and fun activities for them to do. We did a pumpkin ring toss game with glow in the dar bracelets. Cin also printed some coloring pages for them.
These two activites were my favorite we repurposed the pumpkins and gave them a makeover with these stickers i found at walmart for like 2 dollars i believe and it came with so many silly stickers. And then Cin made these little ghost that we hid and the kids went “ghost hunting”
Check out their Halloween costumes! Kason was Chucky, Kami was Chucky’s bride (it took some convincing lol) Lena was a cute unicorn, and Alex a ninja. Noah was himself (facepalm) he said he is not a little kid anymore so he refused to dress up.
And last but not certainly not least here we are I dressed as a witch and Cin as Minnie Mouse. Both outfits were straight out of our closets lol. I am so happy we did this for the kids they had so much fun. And Cin and I had some much needed girl time.
